I can recall hauling and stacking at least a full cord per winter (David Lane). May be doing same at new "Cabin" (see blog)
Now cutting pines on our "property" and have down'd at least a hundred (mostly puny). But not good for burning. Almost done.
Only advice on firewood: 1) at least 6 month aged (hopefully cut in winter) to couple of years. 2) hardwood 3) split - like yours 4) the test I used was to knock a couple of pieces together - a good "tonk" sound, nothing mushy.
